In collaboration with the Swedish School of Textiles at the University of Borås (Textilhögskolan – Högskolan i Borås), Cavaliere proudly contributed its expertise in craftsmanship, mentorship, and access to archival fabrics to a distinguished initiative: the development of new uniforms for tour guides at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
The fabric selected by the Swedish School of Textiles is a washable 100% wool fabric from Italy, traceable back to the farm. As well the buttons selected, made of Tagua nut, keeping sustainability in focus. The production of jackets, trousers and skirts takes place in Cavaliere’s own facility in Jeseník, Czech Republic, where craftsmanship and dedication meet innovation. “Cavaliere was selected with great care, with particular emphasis on flexibility, craftsmanship, sustainability, and technical proficiency,” stated Susanne Nejderås, Project Manager at the Swedish School of Textiles. We extend our deepest gratitude to the students and esteemed partners whose dedication and collaboration made this meaningful project a reality.
